RS 403 TSAVO WEST - AMBOSELI

Day 1:

After breakfast, depart for Tsavo West National Park which lies roughly halfway between Nairobi and the Coast. Mzima Springs, the chief marvel here is a favorite haunt of hippos and crocodiles. Arrive in time for lunch at Kilaguni Lodge located within the boundaries of the Park. An early evening game drive to see large herds of elephants, buffalo, common waterbuck, Eland, Gerenuk, Maasai Giraffe, black rhino and antelopes.

 Day 2:

In the morning , drive past the scenic Athi Plains and into the bushy country of Amboseli National Park. Amboseli is the perfect auditorium for scenic views of Africa's highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro. Ringed by a halo of cumulus, its wedding cake peak floating magically in the incredible blue of the African sky while below herds of elephants graze, Kilimanjaro provides a fitting backdrop to this wild region. Amboseli  is also the region where pastoral Masai and their cattle have lived in harmony with wild creatures for many a century. After lunch, an afternoon game drive to observe the picturesque Amboseli. Dinner and overnight at the Amboseli Serena Lodge located in the very heart of the Amboseli National Park.

Day 3:

Early morning and evening game drives for a chance to photograph the animals silhouetted against the magnificent backdrop of Mt Kilimanjaro.
